Reflection
As I did this activity I realized that as I narrowed down these attributes into the top 20 and then top 10 and then finally top 5 I found that the most important attributes were those that involved other people to fully have and display that attribute. To be loving, kind, respectful, honest and loyal, I must have other people around me that I am able to love, be kind toward, respect, and be honest and loyal towards. And that means that when other people see me living these important attributes they will respect me and think more highly of me. This will be important to me as a teacher because I will need these important attributes and will need to show them constantly to my students so that they will know that I care about them. What will be even more important is that I show these attributes to all of my students regardless of their race, ethnicity, and background so that each of my students know that I care about them. And then if my students see these good values in me and they respect me because of them they will be more willing to apply these same values to their own lives. Because I am a role model to my students it is important that I always have good values to help my students to have these values also.
